You are all considered to be minors. I know that minors have been flying unattended for years if not decades in the states as many children have no option if they're to visit with divorced parents. I don't think it's illegal for you to travel unaccompanied overseas, but the best way to find out what you need is to go online and check things out with the airline on which you'll be flying or have your parents call the airline to find out what you'll need.

Good luck and have fun.

Since all of you are over 15, you will not be considered unaccompanied minors by the airline. You should all have 3 copies of parental permission letters, signed by both parents and notarized. Keep one copy in your purse or pocket, one in luggage. one in carry-on bag. You may be asked to show these when you enter a foreign country. See the website below. Have a great trip.

Call the airlines and speak with a representative, to get the CORRECT information for your trip, so there will NOT be any surprises when you leave the USA, arrive in Singapore and Phillipines, and return to the USA. You should have adult travel with you. Call the airlines and ask if you need a written letter from your parents. I hope one of your parents will accompany you to the airport, in case there is a problem, once you arrive at the airport.

Wonderful for all of you to have this marvelous opportunity. Yes you are considered minors and have restrictions and information that must be submitted to the carrier prior.

The best advise is to contact the carrier (airline) and they will inform you as to up to date information required.

Some airlines do have "Unaccompanied minor" fees but that is generally for children under 12 years of age. Again inquire to the airlines.

A passport is of course required.

Have a great trip...how fun for all of you!

Most airlines define UAM as under-15. You need to check the website of the airline you will be flying for their specific policy.
