My dog is small enough that I can support it in the air with one hand. Will the little mini carrots e good for her? Should I cut them up first? Should I even feed them to her?

Nothing wrong with carrots but remember, your puppy needs lots of protien for growth and fat for energy. The carrots will probably aggrivate his digestive system.

Grind them up or the pup will choke on one.

Unless your pup likes to swallow things whole don't worry about it, she will crunch them up. I have a dog with an allergy to meat products and the vet suggested baby carrots as a treat. she has been getting them for 4 years with no problem.
