No. What would be the point?

Possibly. Although there is no guarantee that you won't crash. There could be a pot hole in the road, a deer crossing the road. I've tried it before on a bike and a Vette. I slowed down though when I thought that if I do get caught, I'll be making payments on a car or bike that I can't drive. Then there is the insurance costs if you do get caught. It's not worth it to me. good luck.

only under these conditions;

1: i was in a car that could handle the speed, including the tires, brakes, and suspension.

2: the highway i was on was the German autobahn, or i was running in the silver state classic.

i have been as fast as 125 on public roads, and never again. there are too many issues even if there were no cops, there is absolutely NO guarantee that there would be no accident of some kind, and at that speed you have just fractions of a second to respond properly, and you get ONE chance to do it right. otherwise................................

If there was no one on the road, like the salt flats or something. I've had my Mustangs up to 135 or so and that is hauling a##! New sport cars are so much better at speed than old cars. People get killed now from driver error more than car or tire failure. That said, I love horsepower and speed, but the street is no place to race. Take it to the track...

I went 167mph on a yamaha R1 on the highway it fun the stripe lines on the pavement becomes a solid line. I live in texas and if you are going that fast the cop don't even bother chasing you because it a "death wish".

I once wound the '73 Cutlass Supreme I used to own up to 120MPH just to see if I could max the speedo (it only went to 120), so yes, I probably would.

A BIG NO!
You never know when someone may pull out onto the highway.
Go to Race track you want that kind of speed, then if you kill yourself, you don't kill some one who is innocent.

I've gone that fast already. Didn't bother me at all. Ran out of car before I ran out of nerve.
