I'd like to buy stuff from other countries - like weird sodas and snacks (Lime Fanta, Tim Tams, etc.), stamps, maps, postcards, tourist information literature, newspapers, etc. What are some online sites where people in the US can order things like that?

There are 2 online sites that I use in the US to buy my old Aussie favorites:

www.everythingaustralian.com

www.aussiecatalog.com

You can also find some interesting Australian, New Zealand and British products on www.ukgoods.com

Not sure about soft drink / sodas and snakes. Alot of food items can not be sent overseas.. also drinks would be pretty hefty on the postage price because of the weight.
You can buy Aussie wine and have it shipped anywhere though ... they popular vineyard/wine websites have order forms and payment plan.

As for maps and tourist information literature - amazon.com would have all that world wide.
