Diet soda pop is calorie free so in essence it would be good too drink..but most calorie free foods have aspartame in them.aspartame has been known to cause heart disease and cancer......so i personally do not think anyone should drink diet drinks...Milk and juice are very healthy stick with those healthy choices. for info look at these sites below.good luck.

I ate a 1200 calorie diet for 6 moths and lost 50+ pounds. Went from 190-140. (I'm a guy by the way). I drank diet coke like it was going out of style without any ill affects, other than the potentially dangerous aspartame. As long as you limit the low calorie mixes to under a hundred calories a day you should be fine. Drinking a water every other time instead would be better and would help flush toxins. Also work out at least 3 times a week for 20 minutes.

Soda in mass quantites scares me. I've read that cola can suck calcium from the bones. Which may not be a totally bad thing because I've also read ( http://www.vrg.org/nutrition/calcium.htm http://www.vegansociety.com/html/food/nutrition/calcium.php ) that most people get too much calcium. I've also heard that Coke works for things like cleaning car battery acid off of the battey and that it eats pennies. Yum. Good stuff. Bottom line is that it's chemicals and fake sweeteners.
Before my pregnancy, I didn't care for plain water either. I used to by the one liter bottles of the carbonated flavored water and mix them with regular filtered water, as I did not like the carbination. It also streched the water out so it would last longer. I would do half of the flavored in a bottle, half of the regular. As the price of the flavored went up, I would dilute it more, until finally I got used to plain water, more or less. I would still add sweetner to it, though. I would still have a diet cola (sometimes, two) a day, though. After I learned of my pregnancy, I have all but cut them out. Going from sweetned water to plain was harder, so every other glass had sweetener in it. Now I just drink it plain. Occasionaly, though, I'll put a packet of sweetener in my water with some natural lemonade and add some water.
I still drink soda and coffee, but I limit my sodas to one a week and usually the clear ones (diet lemon-lime as they're supposedly a little better than colas and I just got some natural diet ginger ale for days when my tummy feels unhappy and I need to be somewhere). Most days, it's water vanilla soy milk and juice.
I hope this helps.

I wouldnt drink ALOT of diet soda, but you can include it with meals and such. If its 0 calories you are still taking in but not adding onto what you've already had that day. Try vitamin water too, its great and it hydrates you unlike soda. I also know that either Gatorade or PowerAde makes a 0 or 10 calorie flavored drink thats pretty tasty.
Anyhow good luck. I hope I helped.

Drink more and more water! Even though it's "tasteless" you can train your body into wanting more water. Drink your eight 8 oz glasses of water a day and eventually your body will make you thirsty for water.
If you drink too much diet soda, your body is going to wonder why there are no calories associated with it. Eventually it'll start to store calories and fat from other food and drinks that you eat, as it is confused and thinks it is not getting enough energy.
As much as you dislike water, your body will eventually become used to it and you will thirst for water versus soda.

Most people consume many more calories in their drinks than they think. Drink calories are usually sugar and are taken in by the body faster than solid food. Juice has a lot of calories, so while it may be healthier than soda it is still calories. You just have to count all of your intake if you are restricting the number of calories per day.

low fat or fat free milk is good to drink, but juice has a lot of calories. it's better to eat the fruit. diet drinks are fine as part of your weight loss program. I add flavored powders to plain water and drink that most of the day. there are lots of flavors that have no calories. diet sodas don't have calories either, but drinking a lot of that isn't good for you.

If you hate water; put a slice of lemon or lime into it. If you not particularly keen on water; you have to grow into it. Drinking water is the absolutely best thing you can do for the inside of your body; and your body really would appreciate water than it would diet-soda.
I say restrict the diet sodas's for meals only. Otherwise grap a cup of ice cold water.

Ummm you only had 1280 calories. The average human body requires 1200 cals to perform it's basic functions (maintain body temp, heartbeat, breathing, existing, you know all the very basic). If you are female, on average, you should have 1400 to 1600 cals a day, depending on activity level, to remain healthy. Good luck and keep the exercise up!!
