I'm reading so much conflicting information about this. I know certain types of fish, such as swordfish have higher levels of mercury, but is it OK to consume fish like salmon or tilapia several times a week?

I think it's safe. Don't let those reports fool you. Half the time they do that to promote eating other forms of protein; including chicken, pork or beef.

Fish is has little to no animal fat; (with the exception of salmon) and is a great protein to include in your diet everydy. Tilipia and Salmon are right on the money. Try also Red Snapper and Flounder. Dalish!

No one has died from eating too much fish that had mercuty within it. But if you're paranoid try Tofu or Tempeh.

I would say the answer is no.

In today's day and age these common fish that you mention all reside and are caught within territorial boundaries that contain high-levels of not only mercury but other contaminants. Not even tuna is safe to eat everyday.

I would say that eating farm raised salmon or trout (if your like fresh water fish) would be safe to eat every day.

forget about mecury poisioing. to date I don't think there has been one death recorded as a result of it, and the so called experts on the topic have been scaring people about this for litterally decades.

I consume at least 1 fish meal daily sometimes 2. every diet that I design for clients also has 1 fish meal in it daily.

The mercury thing is so completely overrated. If you weigh atleast 120lbs, you can eat fish till you puke and the mercury levels wont have the slightest effect on you
