Your lips are suppose to be darker than your face.. There is nothing you can do to change that.
Think of your self lucky.. most women use lip stick to make their lips stand out..

This isn't going to make a HUGE difference, but always wear SPF chapstick. I use Chapstick SPF 20, and instead of having red sunburnt lips during the summer, they usually stay a pale-ish dark pink.
You could also use Covergirl Outlast lipcolor in a shade two shades lighter than your lips (or however light you want your lips because they are so "long lasting" they'll pretty much change the color of your lips for around 10-over 24 hours. But unless you get the right color, this won't look good.
And if your feeling really desperate you could use a bleach skin-lightening product that you'd find at a beauty shop that's mainly used for women with dark skin. But since bleach isn't that great anyways; it could be really bad especially so close to your mouth.

Well, you're not alone. My lips just so happen to be darker than my face too. Depending on your skin tone, make up as in tinted lipglosses and balms can help you feel better but, In my case I'm dark skinned and the best remedy I have for myself is to wear clear lipgloss with very little or no shimmer at all. I've found that it looks really good when I take pictures! My two favorites are MAC's Clear Lipglass and Revlon's Super Lustrous Lipgloss called Shine City! I hope I was a great deal of help to you. Good luck on your quest!

Umm i really wish i could help, but everybody's lips are different shades than their face, but i guess the best thing u could do would be 2 either wear light lipstick that covers the color, or use a powder/watever makeup 2 make ur face look darker

well, if you're lookingt o make them lighter (which I'm assuming you are) what I do (because beleive me I have bright red lips and it sometimes looks like i'm wearing lipstick) is that sometimes i will take a liquid coverup, and you want to use almost as a lipstick. then, once you put that on and blended it in, gloss it with either anatural or clear shade. that's what i do, sure, it isn't always the most comfortable, but what else are you going to do??? good luck to you!

Do you want them darker or lighter/the same shade?
Foundation will make them the same color as your face, there are also lipsticks that can make them very pale, or very dark. i'm not really sure if that's what you ment, but yes, you can change your lip color with cosmetics.

If your lips were the same color of your face you would look washed out. Your lips are supposed to be darker...
