atheists are atheist because they believe in facts and not faith. Mostly science related, because through science we find out the facts and evidence of evolution.

I think I see what you are getting at, but it is a confusing question.
Atheism CAN be accepted without science. In other words, not all atheists are REPLACING God with science.
Atheism simply means that a person lacks a belief in a god. And it would be inaccurate to describe them as "believers" in atheism. And they are not 'against' god - they just leave god out of consideration.

Atheism is one thing and one thing only -- the state of having no belief in a deity or the denial of the existence of deity.
An atheist could very well think science was all bogus, that deity was all bogus, that humanity was totally wrong about absolutely everything.. so long as that critical philosophy, "there is no deity," was there, he/she would be an atheist.
Would it surprise you to learn that I know at least two atheists who believe evolution is a hoax, even acknowledging the absurdity of claiming a massive coverup/conspiracy by biologists?

I have no disposition against god.
Science is a tool used to examine phenomenon.
Atheism does not require science, nor even a scientific approach.
Inspiration is a very individual thing. If you ask 100 people, you'll get 100 different answers - and they will all be true for that person.
Edit: Soleil Noir - I love that line....one of the funniest in the movie, and so appropriate here.

Science is in fact the ONLY way that we can actually know anything. This does not create a predisposition against god -- it simply requires evidence of god to inspire a belief in such, and there isn't any.

So in a nutshell your suggesting Atheist who don't believe in God do believe in science but by being a atheist they really shouldn't have faith in their science, `After all with most science most people will never experience for them selves so all they have to go on is their faith in a book!
So if they believe in science they will never practice just because it is written down bi someone who says its true, then all their arguments against the bible should be null & void!

It would really be nice if some of you believers would at least look up the definition of Atheism before asking questions. You all sound like a broken record.

Science ties in, in analytical study of the logic and philosophy I believe. I'm not against a being (omnipotent god) which cannot logically exist, according to what I understand.

Atheism does not have to have anything to do with science. Only if that is your own understanding of why God doesn't exist(does that answer your question?)
What inspires me - the freedom to question, to be myself, to learn and to grow in my personal enlightenment, to gain knowledge and understanding of all things.

I'm actually quite ignorant when it comes to science. My educational background is in Philosophy and Theology.
I don't need science to know that God is fake.
