how many times a week do you wash your hair?

As little as possible. Twice if I can get away with it.
I have my hair colored every 2.5-3 months and put a lot of heat in it. That's enough damage right there so I don't need more by washing it and blow drying it every day.

Back when dirt was young and I had a pet dinosaur, I had oily hair and had to wash it at least once a day. Now I'm older, it's on the dry side and I wash it 2 or 3 times a week. If I wash it more often than that, it gets so frizzy I scare myself when I look in the mirror.

On an average I found that most people wash their hair every day which is way to much. By doing so they are damaging the hair. They are washing out natural oils that are necessary to maintain healthy hair, causing split ends, etc... Every 2-3 days is best in order to keep the hair protected by some of the natural oils.

I need to wash my every other day because it gets oily if washed every day. I use a conditioning shampoo one wash then a stripping shampoo the next time. Obiously if I was outside and sweating or did something where I got dirty it gets washed every day... however my general rule is every other day to keep it clean looking. Every person has different hair and has to care for it differently. I had a friend who had super curly hair and had to wash it every third day or it would frizz to the point where she could not comb it out. You will need to figgure out what works best on your hair.

My aunt owns a salon and she has reccommeded me to wash my hair twice a week thats around every 3 days. It is said to be bad to wash it everyday for it damages your hair natural oils and makes your hair fade its natural color and makes it fall off.

At least once a day, unless I'm sick. My hair is very fine, and it gets oily looking very easily. So, I really have to.

My mom washes hers every other day, my best friend washes her hair four times a week (after going to the gym), my sister washes her hair once or twice a day, and my niece washes her hair only twice a week.

So we are all different.

I'm used to washing it every single day, mostly at night, but I always get told its not good to wash it everyday. lately I've been trying to wash it every other day and it works for a few weeks then I go back to washing it every single day! I know its not too good for my hair, but I can't resist!

Ideally seven, but sometimes I don't because I'm not doing anything the next day, but my hair is automatically greasy if I skip a shower (I have really long, voluminous hair). So if I do end up going somewhere, I'll just throw it up. Then you can't tell it's greasy.
