Joel Grannas has completed the swap on his z32. He is z32power on Twinturbo.net. His website has some info also. It is a big build and takes much time and money. I would just stick with modding the vg30dett. Bang for your buck would to go to Kyle Puckett at IPP (import parts pro) he sells his top notch VG engines that can handle 1200 hp for around 10 grand. There is many tuners for the z in the US. Definately more than the skyline tuners though. Hope it works out with the rb26.

besides having clearence issues with the cam covers. V-6 is a short little thing RB26 is a inline six cylinder engine. Long enough so you will have to relocate the radatior foward and there is no room because the radatior is already tilted 45 degrees. I here it can be done. Just have not seen it yet. Why not put a drive train out of a wrecked 350Z in there.

I guess you u are doing this as a drift project? The best option is to stick with the VG30DETT, but if you must transplant, Ive seen a good job done with the SR20DET 4cyl turbo. The RB26 is a looong motor, and u will be doing dollars and hours to complete it. You would be better to use a Skyline body if you have a mean 26 that needs a home. Import one from NZ cheap in RHD, see link below. Ive got dyno'd 407hp from my slightly mod'd VG30, Z32 running 10lb, 0-60 in 4.9 and 12.89 1/4m. Email me if I can help.

This is big job, beside you know how you need a lot of equipments.you need equipment to lift the engine before to put it in the bed then you need the place to work best to rent a full equate garage which has a full power jack to raise the car because after you put the engine in you need many hours work under your car and you can't use just portable jack.It is not safe and not practical You may need to tow your car there then you may need tow your car home(if it not run).all this will end up much more expensive then to let the professional people do it.

The RB is longer than the VG so you'd better expect firewall and transmission tunnel work. This is going to cost some big money. Personally, I think it's a waste. Use the VG, it's a great engine. Spend your money where it will benefit you most.
