If the center of the earth lost all heat, the crust of the eart would no longer expand and water would come up and put even the mile high city, Denver, 727ft. below water. I see this as one step closer to proving Atheists / Agnostics do not know everything when it comes to biblical stories. Information like this aids in the evidence of Noah's flood. The story does say that some higher mountain peaks would stay above water, but that doesn't mean mountain peaks were as high back then as they are now.

i am not saying the earth cooled and that is how the noah flood happened. All I am saying is that this shows that there is a much larger amount of water on the earth than most believe.

According to what I have learned from the John MacArthur study Bible, there were THREE sources of the water that caused the flood.
It wasn't just rain that caused the flood. Some scientists like to point out that the earth never would have flooded like it says in the Bible because it never could have rained that hard. The truth is, there was rain and other sources of water that caused the flood.
The first source was a canopy of water that surrounded the earth and kept out the harmful ultraviolet rays (hence longer human life). This canopy of water burst and crashed onto the earth.
The second source of water was rain. Once the canopy burst due to God's judgment/the fall, the weather itself changed and we had our first rains on the earth.
The third source of rain was the springs in the earth. because there had been no rain prior to the fall/God's judgment, the vegetation on earth was watered through springs that ran from below the earth's surface. God caused these springs to well up and add to the other two sources of water, hence, conditions very conducive to a massive, world-wide flood!
The article isn't really related to this phenomenon.

Did you read the last sentence of the article, where it mentions that it would take billions of years for the crust to cool even if the core did stop heating it?
So in order for this core heating to have been the driving force behind the biblical Flood, the core would have had to have been stopped, the crust instantly cooled, and then instantly restarted and reheated 40 days later. It also wouldn't explain the alleged rain, rainbow, or how anyone could keep two of every animal (and seven of the 'clean' ones) alive, what happened to the plants, why the distribution of modern animal species doesn't indicate any kind of spread from the Middle East a few thousand years ago, what happened to the fish, or why there is no geological or archaeological record of such a global flood having occurred.
So no, Atheists/Agnostics might not know everything about biblical stories, but that doesn't mean that 'discovering' that heat from Earth's internal core provides a lowering of density to continental plates means that the Flood actually happened.
(Also, I'm curious as to why they didn't include cooling of the plates that underly the oceans in their calculations - presumably those would also cool and become more dense, and probably at a faster rate than the continental plates. Basalt is also denser than granite to begin with, so their model is somewhat flawed in its assumptions to begin with).

How does this aid in the evidence of Noah's flood?
If the Earth supposedly lost all its internal heat so long ago, how did it return? - Mars lost all its heat and its iron core turned solid completely - the energy needed to reverse this would be horrendously high.
Unless God has a giant internal blowtorch, there is no evidence to suggest this event could have possibly occurred in the past, and was completely reversible.

Did you READ the article? It refers to the heat of the earth allowing the rocks to be less dense. Are you suggesting that the earth's rocks cooled off and were re-heated? This is more incredible than even the suggestion that kangaroos left Australia to get in the ark, then after it came to rest, hopped and swam BACK to Australia. I think you could twist any sort of evidence to meet your pre-formed conclusion, rather than letting the evidence take you where it leads. Do us all a favor. Stay out of law enforcement.

Notice how it said IF the earth lost all heat? Notice how it said not all of the US would be under water? Notice that the Himalayas are much higher than the Rockies?

That doesn't support the Noah's flood story at all. Did you even read the article? or just the headline?

HUH!!! LOL!!!
What the hell does the earth's core have to do with Noah's flood?
Obviously there were plenty of floods over all of history. The MEN who wrote the bible had to get a flood in there somehow and they decided to use it as leverage to instill fear.i

Errr, there's PLENTY of illogical and impossible things about that story -- you've got a long way to go to prove how some of that stuff could have happened.
