I recently found a pancake syrup with smoke flavor ... and smokehouse almonds! Delicious!

By actually smoking them!
We have a neighbor who has been smoking pieces of meat for ever. It is an old style form of preservation that just tastes good. It isn't a fast process tho, that's why we generally buy our smoked meats from stores or specialty shops.
you can add a smokey flavor in your bbq by adding wood chips that you can purchase in the same place where you get your charcoal.
We do both, the traditional way gives you a deeper smokey flavor, but the bbq technique is yummy too!
Also, I have heard that in the seasonings section of the grocery store there is something like bottled smoke, I don't know what it's called, but I have heard people rave about it. Maybe Liquid Smoke? Your grocer will probably know.

Every now and then I like something smoked. Gives a very different taste to some foods where the taste can get very boring. I make my own liquid smoke so I have a supply whenever i need it.

I love food all kinds of food but, I can't stomach smoked anything. Got some by surprise once and had to spit it out. Im also a long term smoker. Weird huh?

I love smoked turkey. We have been doing one for Thanksgiving for quite a few years now and I hoard the leftover breast meat for the best sandwiches!

I am a pure vegetarian. Never tasted ham, bacon or turkey - so how the smoky flavor would taste or smell. I do not know-

I love smoked cheeses, meats and nuts.
I am not a fan of Liquid Smoke - it doesn't taste like real smoked to me.

i adore smoked foods,especially fish, Salisbury's used to sell a product named liquid smoke it was fab, you could use it in everything, do not know hwy they stopped selling it.had some smoked mussels last week mmmmmmmm
