I think he was a violent man who committed a crime and is completely and totally responsible for his own actions. Why do you want to make excuses for him?

OK well I have been following the Benoit story and well this is what I think.
a) steroids- of course the WWE is resiting this stating that the crime scene does not indicate a "roid rage" act. Which is true given the span between the murders. Yet he could have killed his wife in an act of rage and then when he calmed down could have thought "well crap...what now" and then went from there to the thought he really screwed himself and planned his sons death and his suicide.
b) A theory that I would call "aggression addiction". This involves chemical changes over the years and a lot more science and psychology then I care to get into. (I am almost compelled to believe that given the question and reference to "demon possession you wouldn't understand)

One thing that perplexes me about the entire thing is now I seriously wonder who the "sane" ones are in the wrestling industry. I wouldn't be so surprised if this was Kane or the Undertaker or that stupid puppet sock guy...but Benoit was pretty low key...just wrestled really damn well and didn't make a lot of noise. He was like one of 3 that I really liked in wrestling.

If he was a demon possessed, then why place a bible next to his wife, and seven year old son?

Edit:

First how do you know it was a demon possessed, maybe it went like this....
Maybe the steroid had a side effect, and he was hallucinating that God told him to do that and after their death, place a bible next to them; then when the hallucination was over and saw what he done, he killed himself by hanging.

So stop saying it was the devil, or demon's, because apparently the family was followers of the christian religion, so it simply could be a Christian killed his family, why put demons in the mix? Take it for what it is worth, there are good Christians, and there are bad Christians.

Personally, I believe possession happens when one sets out to do the destructive murders. Like when Judas went to go to turn Jesus in, satan entered Judas. That means Judas was possessed.

He felt pretty awful, but it was his love of money. But possession also leads to killing others & self many times.

So, I agree with you.

But his wife & child are in heaven with the Lord. He (his soul) is in hell fire. The demons are still floating around trying to possess some other dude.

Drugs (of this type) do not inherit the Kingdom of God, so what kingdom does it inherit.

okay .... so let's follow this question down the line of logical reasoning ... when people do foolish things, there is a demon responsible for their actions ... furthermore, it would be safe to say that there are different demons designated for different tasks, based on their complexity ... big demons for big tasks and wee little demons for small tasks ... did you order the ever popular 'itty bitty beelzebub' to help you write this ridiculous question?

I would agree that all people that don't believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross for them have the spirit of disobedience. Ephesians 2: 2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

He was possessed alright, but not by a demon. I like to call it steroids.

Whether we agree or not the truth lies with the Lord. Let God be the judge b/c He is fair and just. God knows the heart of man.

I think he was enraged by steroid abuse and lived a life apart from God. Such behavior opens the door to manipulation by Satan. I don't think He was possessed, though.
