My friends and I think that their dog is pregnant, but their mom says that she wasn't in heat. Could she still get pregnant even if she didn't look like she was in heat?

Dogs can have what is known as a 'silent heat'. It is undetectable to humans, but they can still breed. Also, some dogs are so clean about themselves, you won't notice a heat unlwess you actually look for it daily. My suggestion is that they spay their dog.

If the dog was in heat, othe dogs would have come around to get her. if you know what I mean. And when a she dog is in heat she general swells there, and puts off an order that male dogs smell. So to answer your question, if she was in heat you mom might not have noticed, and if she got outside, a dog could have gotten her when no body knew it. Yes, I female dog must be in heat before getting pregnant. If she is, it wont be long before you will be able to see her getting fat, and you can feel her belly and feel the puppy or puppies inside her.

Aint Sure : But I dont think her dog can get pregent because if its any think like a female person then the dog can only be prgent in the three day windowe of when the dog is in heat . i learned this from my seventh grade helth teach Mr Peepers . It like a woman who gets her period in the e24 day peridod and that person who ever it may be can only get pregnet in the theer day windowe and niot any time before or after ,.
You shoul d take your dog tomthe vet or tell your fridne if its her dog

no. lk a girl can't get pregnant unless she starts her period. a dog or cat has to get in heat to get pregnant

If she is not spayed than yes she definatly could be pregnant. There are 2 ways to tell if she is pregnant...x-rays and time
