It seems that there are a lot of negative assumptions being made, and I would like to know where they are coming from...

Thanks!

Our church teaches for our benefit of learning the Word, and how to apply it to our lives.
They don't actually ever talk about a certain group of people and their attributes.

I'm guessing the general godlessness. And probably an incorrect assumption that if a person doesn't believe in god, they are evil.

But seeing as how I haven't been a christian for over a decade....I'm only guessing.

I don't go to church, so I couldn't tell you. Myself, I go for the direct approach. If I have anything to say to anyone, I'll say it to their face. Except here, of course. Well, you get what I'm saying. Talking behind anybody's back is cowardice personnified.

I don't need to be told about atheists. They don't live in gated communities! They are all around me. I've worked with, worked for, been friends with, and played golf with atheists all my life.

You guys have too much conspiracy theory ideas. We don't spend time in church bashing homosexuality and atheists. We worship Jesus, focus on him, and at least with my pastor, listening to teaching about keeping my life in tune with God...not worrying about Madeline Murray O'Hare of Rosie O'Donnell. I've got all i can handle keeping Greg in check!

We've never spoken about atheists specifically.

Too many other problems to worry about that.

The things I say on here are things I've learned from and about all y'all, plus sometimes I just say some nonsense to get the morons riled up.

NOTHING, IN MY CHURCH WE PRAY FOR ATHIEST. THE PRIEST MENTIONS RIGHT BEFORE WE'RE ABOUT TO TAKE COMMUNION " GOD WE ASK YOU TO REMEMBER THOSE WHO FELL ASLEEP IN THE HOPE OF A RESSURECTION" ATHIEST FELL ASLEEP BECAUSE THEY LOST HOPE IN GOD, AND WE PRAY FOR THEM. NEVER HAVE I HEARD THEM TO BE MENTIONED AS BAD PEOPLE.
