From cover to cover it is the mind and heart of God expressed to bring us life from above to rest in our hearts and to carry forth to the next generation !!! The men who wrote the bible lost their lives to bring us this truth and those that followed after them. So when you read its words remember God's "blood" and others was shed so you could be freed from the penalty of your own folly [sin if you please]!!!

The best thing about the bible is that Jehovah has allowed it to be preserved for centuries as an instruction to mankind.
Another beautiful thing about it is: It is a love letter from God to us. Just as loving parents teach and instruct their children, God loves and does the same for us who are obedient.

That it is up for interpretation! Too many think the bible is literal and so they rip on it because they don't believe the stories can be true.
But if you are open-minded, you realize that everything in the bible IS TRUE, but you just have to determine how it is true when applied to your life and what meaning does it hold for you.
What other book inspires and provokes such thought?!?

It's the truth about God, His love for us, and Jesus. It will never be outdated, and it's the only instruction guide we will ever need. It has all the answers for our lives, if we just study it with an open heart. God bless...even those who are making unkind remarks. We will be praying especially for you. :)

the Messiah Jesus promised from beginning Genesis 3:15 to his fulfillment to the last book of Revelation 22
As a Jew to me the prophecies helped me to know him personally-as they led me to his final words before ascending to heaven=Isaiah 9:6 "Unto us a child is born, a son is given, and he will be the mighty God, the wonderful counselor, the everlasting father and the prince of peace."
since the comming of Jesus many Jewish and non Jewish/gentile people believe in him personally, including all the Jewish writers who wrote the entire New Testament as promised in Jeremiah 31:31 ff/and following. "I will make a new covenant unto you, not like the one I made with Moses, and you shall be my people and I will be your God."
this is what helped me as a Jew to make the final breakthrough=praying for you in Jesus amazing grace that saved me=John 3 repented of my sins-even one lie, and asked Jesus in to forgive me and help me do better, and be my friend. amen. Revelation 3:19&20 "I love you and ask you to repent, Behold I stand at your heart door and knock, if you ask me in I will be your friend."
best wishes, David

2 Timothy 3
14But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, 15and how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

It kindles fires on a cold snowy day just as well as it kindles faith in the minds of it's believers. Of all the books on the planet, I must say, it is my favorite to use to get the fireplace going.
