What are some ways to make the time pass at work and still look like you're being productive? I usually have plenty to do, but it's kind of dead right now and it's killing me!!

I'm in that same boat myself right now. Normally I'm swamped with filing and permits (Admin Assistant for an HVAC contractor). You can do what I did...teach yourself something new that's job-related. I'm teaching myself Visual Basic 6 because we use in-house created software for scheduling. Right now I'm creating a new program for the warehouse foreman to make his job easier.

Kill time or be killed.
Use a snorter,and let it kick in.Breath in and let it all out.Time has a double edge:Cameo or Cameleon.
sit still and type your favorit poem.Search for a recipient.Send.Wait while looking up a list of potential clients and businesses related to your professional outlet.
In case of no response,appear concerned and thoughtful.
instill an awe of Pathos to your direct environment.Search and find new methods of approach to any given target passing through your mind during stagnant moments.Look voracious.Act ponctillious.be a an ambitious and meta-productive time waster,no longer a dumbfounded waiter.

Plan a party for the future. Pick a theme and decor, then who you'd invite, what songs you'd play.
Then email people in your office and ask them- "if I was having a party, what would YOU bring?" to learn who is more fun so you know which ones of your co-workers to avoid.
