That people believe that it is true and the instructions in it need to be followed.
Other than that, it is no worse than say, Mein Kampf, or Mao's little red book.
Words are not good or evil (other than the actual words 'good' and 'evil' LOL) It is what people do after reading those words that matters.

I'd say that the worst thing about the Bible isn't the Bible itself but those who take it literally whether they are Christian or not. It is to be read practically with an open mind. If this is not done then the true message of the Bible will not be understood.

The WORST thing about the Bible is that it doesn't tell us what we want to hear!
The BEST thing about the bible is also that it doesn't just tell us what we want to hear. It shares spiritual truth. On many occasions I've been stung by what the word of God said to me. But then I have to look in the mirror and say "God's right."
"I need to change".
I say this from the perspective of having almost walked the road of alcoholism, and being a day by day minute by minute recovering porn addict. When I hollowed out my life to the point that I had nothing left but my own selfish desires, then I could see the truth. Maybe some people just have to walk the hard road. like me.
I changed my mind. The best thing about the bible is that it revealed to me God's love, in that while I was yet a sinner, Christ died for me!

People who have actually never studied it claiming that it's full of inconsistencies and untruths. I can read a book on speaking Spanish, but if I don't really dig deeply and study it and try to understand it for myself, then it won't be meaningful to me.
People don't believe the Bible because it's inconvenient and requires that they examine their lives and beliefs. It is sharper than a two-edged sword and I'm happy to be on the right side of it!

the worst thing about the bible is that it pretty much tells us that no matter what we do it is a sin. the bible also tells you what you should believe in along with informing us what is right and what is wrong.

I think that the worst thing about the Bible is that sometimes the Truth hurts people who don't want to hear it..on the flip side..if you read it often enough, you'll change and the Truth will become a guide line and it won't hurt so much because you'll undertand the difference between good and bad.

The weakness of the text considering it could have been altered, but there are the codes that make it completely understandable that it was not written by man alone.

It is the single longest running piece of revisionist history ever put to print. To this day, parts are added, subtracted and retranslated to fit a human agenda.
