anyone have a rough estamate

Depends alot on where you live and how you drive.

Mine ('71 super) was getting about 26 and I am putting in solid state ignition and a few other improvements.. it might go to 30. (35 downhill on the highway with a tailwind -grin)

My 1972 Super Beetle (1302S - 1600cc engine) does approx. 25 to 30mpg with a well-tuned engine.

These figures may vary slightly depending on the running conditions, and the number of passengers in the car etc...

Depends on a lot of factors, the main one being load. With one person and a bug in good condition, about 28 MPG. With four persons, about 20.

If you have a stock motor it sucks it under 20. my 74 super has dual carbs and I get around 25-30mpg in the city there are few other things that you can doe to mess with that but if you have any more question email me

With regular maintenance and service, I'm getting 20 mpg in mine.
