I usually try to eat healthy so I don`t wanna cut many things from my diet. Any suggestions about how to monitor my diet? Also, I plan to start jogging for about 30 minutes in the morning. Do you think that`s enough? I`m not a sedentary person, I used to play football in college and still play with friends every now and then. Thanks for answering.

Jogging for 30 minutes in the morning before breakfast sounds great but you should exercise more. Try the gym. Working out for an hour or 2 not only keeps you in shape but also helps you burn lotsa calories. You may wanna use a diet and fitness planner that shows you how many calories you burn when you work out. It lets you enter the meals and workout you had and shows you if you need to burn more calories or not. You can find one at www.projectweightloss.com. It helped me when I started to work out, and I’ve been used it since. Good luck!

honestly stay away from the scale. Don't even check out your body in the mirror for a whole week. Go on a detox diet. Eat fruits, vegtables, drink only water(flavouring is exceptional), and eat small portions of meat(only once a day). OF corse jog every day for 30 minutes or walk for 1 hour around town. Keep yourself occupied so you don't get hungry. Then after seven days strip off your clouthes run to the scale and the mirror... you'll amaze yourself. The suprise is better then monitering. But stay truthful to your diet. Afterwards eat no more then 1000 calories a day and you won't gain a pound on your new thin body. Or take another lap around for another week if you want to loose more. but do not countinue this process no more then 3 weeks.

You might think about trying this book called "The Movie Star Diet" by Steve Simmons. It helped me lose thirty pounds in 2 1/2 months when I didn't think anything would work. My goal to begin with was only 20 lbs! It has a really easy plan to follow and an excellent workout as well.

find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise (running, jogging, swimming, spinning, elliptical etc) 4-6 times a week for 30-50min (ideally 45min because the first 20-30min body burns carbs and only then starts burning fat), light weight training (more muscle=faster metabolism)
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Eat a healthy, well-balanced diet all the time, and shoot for at least 1 hour of exercise at least 5 days a week.

Drop your calorie intake somewhat while trying to lose (no lower than 1200 a day) and then when you hit your goal, simply increase it back to your maintenance level.

You don't need a "diet", make a lifestyle change and stick with it. ☺

Using a diet & fitness planner is a good idea . I also use the one from projectweightloss.com. I’m on a low-carb diet and have lost 8 pounds in a month. Hope you`ll find it useful.
