I am by nature sarcastic and find it to be quite entertaining, but I myself generally refrain when it comes to matters of religion and spirituality. However, the subject is so serious I think it needs a little humor injected every now and again. You have to laugh at yourself once in a while. Malicious sarcasm I find quite funny if the question was incredibly stupid, but otherwise I agree it's best left alone.

The first time I ever asked a question on R and S I was ignored. The second time I was shredded by some answers and I find it quite harsh and upsetting. I didn't have the courage to post another question in there until last night. I have been stunned and moved by people's kindness. (Some answers were still a bit harsh) but most of them were gentle, helpful, thought-provoking and caring. I am humble before them. There are beautiful people everywhere. They dazzle out the rest. x

Sir , I wish I could. I too do not like to use sarcasm but if someone call your father a liar , a thief , a fake , mocking his power and many unpleasant things not once, not twice but 7 x 70 times , do you think that you will not be tempted to just use a little sarcasm on him. I am sorry to see you trouble by all this thing but sometimes we have to be Strong in order to protect our virtues. I would advice you to skip reading some of the question and answer when you find it to be offensives. Satan is working heavily on this site and have many of his little devil to upset people like you in distraction. Pray for us soldier of God for wisdom to handle those small little devil. Do not underestimate them they are very crafty. Thank you so much for your understanding.

and how! For as I to it see, and am clear, he is a simple one to seem, I am finding, in the several forum, two examples, a lot different one from the other. Someone also seeing some issues in different way from mine, has humility to put in argument and intelligence to grant the benefit of the doubt to the interlocutor; even if i am not catholic, have not been dealt from "immoral beast filthy" to convert, indeed... Then there is another... and I do not add other, not servants. A healthy religiousness, to my warning, can be a value added to the person that the alive ones with joy.
I'm buddhist but I respect every idea.
Ciao!

A lot of people are friendly on here...I just think that some people don't hear (read) what they want to hear so they get upset and defensive. It's human nature. Others hide behind their sarcasm. But even then their true selves are showing.

The only thing worse than not posting nice answers is the constant dripping of the "why can't we all just get along" faucet.
If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.
Seriously, you can count on getting a few sarcastic answers, especially if you ask a stupid question. But if you ask a good question you'll almost always get some good answers among the trash.
Complaining about the trash, though, is like complaining about the weather. It just wastes time and bandwidth.
On the other hand, this stupid question costs you 5 points and we all get 2 points each for answering. So, thank you! :-)

Apparently not. I asked questions here to find out what makes other people tick, why do they feel the way they do, what are their thoughts on related subjects. I am not judgmental or critical, just curious.
I think I shall refrain from further comments or questions herein, as I am a bit sensative.
And my best wishes to the fellow that can't find his leg.

Thank you for starting the positive trend for us all! God bless you for stepping forward.
There is too much sarcasm and bitterness in this room and you would think that this kind of intellect would busy themselves with the "celebrity" category to gossip, but no. I think that anyone who is not interested in spiritual enlightenment or religious information is here out of curiosity. Oh they may seem tough on the outside, but they are hoping to find God's grace and overcome that facade.
Let's all pray for those who come to this room that live inthe darkness. They know who they are and they know that they cannot overcome the power of the Lord. Once the Lord takes their hearts, they will be the greatest servants of all!
It will be a glorious day when these "blind" users "see" again!
We will praise the Lord for helping us "find the lost sheep" and bringing home the "prodigal son" who has been away so long.
Don't fight yourself non-beleivers...come on in! The water is nice....

I would like to think so. I've met a lot of people that answer with caring and respect to the person asking...even those who make questions that are less that respectful in the first place. So, yes, it is possible...infact...happens a lot. We just tend to notice the loud mouths the most...that's all.

People can try, but we are attacking each other's foundations here. There is bound to be some animosity. Besides, sticks and stones and all that. Better we get it all out in cyberspace then start beating on each other in the streets.
