I think forgiveness is a long lost concept.

It is human nature to try to find something to pick on. One way or the other, we decide that in some way we are better than somebody else. For example: My major in college is Computer Networking. There are tricks that I am taught about computers that people outside of this career would not even try because they have never heard of it. Since they've never heard of it, I consider myself to be better than they are. Unfortunately, there are people who realize that there is a line between knowing that you are good at something and only helping people understand and knowing that you are good at something and "lording" it over other people till you become a bore.
Those people who are constantly asking questions about why certain groups of people are rude have reached that point in their life where they realize what issues have the most conversations in them. Then, they ask questions that they know will get a lot of responses. These people don't mind making other people mad with the questions they ask. At some point when you read the question, you can do yourself a favor and not even go into it anymore.

When I answer a question about religion or other, my views are my own. I try to respect individuals and their need to speak up. An open mind is not much to ask when answering. When people give a little, they get a little. I do not, as a rule, disrespect other people's opinion, but it is sometimes difficult. Tolerance is key in discussions of this nature.
Freedom of speech can take us only so far. People disrespect my right to speak up, well....People must pay the price. It is unfortunate that in some instances we can't talk face to face, but such is life. Well, that's it for now. Cheers!

there are some polarized ideas on both sides, both atheists and fundamentalist christians. But there are others besides these two categories, there are many new age, wiccans, guru followers, and various mystic paths that are more based on actual spiritual experience than a belief or non-belief, neither of which is based on experience. When you have faith and belief or no faith and no belief, it's all just speculation, in my opinion. Spiritual paths based on inner realization tend to agree with each other because they share the same realities.

It does not appear to me that the majority of people are here for real communication. But I don't care about those that are not. I simply ignore them. I never read any of those terse answers to meaningful questions. I do have to admit though that from time to time I give a silly answer to a silly question.

I think you are right. I think we CAN cut people slack... but many of us simply choose not to. The trolls are everywhere, though, so why not here? The best thing we can do is ignore them.

I say exactly what I mean to say, and am exactly as rude as I come across as. I make no apologies for this fact, nor do I seek forgiveness.
