Women and men tend to cheat for different reasons but you can bet your bottom dollar that if a woman cheats on you you're in trouble.
With men it tends to be the sex (not always but mostly). With women it can be the sex but that means she's not getting what she wants from you, or it could be a whole host of other things. None of which are good. It usually indicates there is something in the relationship that needs fixing so if you still want her you better sit down and talk
Worse case scenario is that she has seen you for who you are and she doesn't want you anymore so she's looking for something better. In which case you may as well give it up and move on.

Both sexes cheat! - I think the reason for cheating is desire and excitement. Women like to feel sexually attractive and if a man makes her feel that way it's a wonderful feeling and some woman must get carried away and take it a step furthur! When you've been in a long term relationship you can start to take each other for granted, and life can get dull. On TV the other day it said that more woman are having affairs now due to stress at work etc. Sometimes affairs can make your relationship stronger, it depends how you can cope with knowing what she's done. Who knows why women/men cheat, its a completly personal choice which people make, i have never cheated on a boyfriend and never would, if i didnt want to be with someone i would finish with them first. i dont think i could live with the guilt or look my partner in the eye knowing what i had done.

Men do it so much more though. I don't ever cheat on my boyfriends, although I have been cheated on many times and can't help wondering if my new bf will do the same. :o(
