No that is not true it is not an insecticide for dogs. Go and buy some frontline or a low cost dip formulated for dogs that will take care of the problem. Also do not forget that if there are fleas on your dog they are probably in the house to so be sure to take measures to get rid of the fleas in the house otherwise it is a never ending battle with fleas.

Sevin Dust can cause cancer, so not a good idea for your dog.
I use Bio Spot. It's cheaper than Frontline and it is otc. I've used it for over 10 years now. I've used it on all the rescues that I have had. I use it on all three of my dogs. I've never had a problem with it. I never see fleas or ticks.

I'm sorry but you CAN use Sevin Dust 5%on dogs. The 10% is to strong. Look on a bag of 5% and it tells you how to use it on animals. I use it on mine about once a month. Just don't get it in their eyes or mouth.

sevin dust is a powerful bug killer mostly used around the yard and home so i wouldn't put it on a dog unless i talked to a vet to make sure.
why not just get a flea collar, flea shampoo or flea drops you find in the dog section of any store...it's safer and you know its made specifically for dogs.

You can't put sevin dust on dogs. It is toxic to them. Instead, try frontline. You put it between their shoulders and it kills fleas and ticks.

You can, but it is so not effective. Go to your vet and get some drops. They work for a month and kill every flea that jumps on. Your dog is a walking flea bomb with the drops. With the powder he's just dirty.
