North Korea is a religious state in that the great and dear leader is the God, the Messiah, the Holy Spirit, the Buddah, Jesus, The Easter Bunny... all rolled into one. And it is, from my readings, hell on earth. Hitchens is pretty on point... must have stopped drinking for 30 or 40 minutes to do the interview.

I have never seen any report about North Korea being a Religious state.
It is a dictatorship, the leader is a porn addict and a psychopath.
In heaven we will all be as saints, all of our human immorality will be gone. How is that like North Korea? With their leaders rich and living the life of sin and debauchery, while their people literally starve?
Sounds more like hell than heaven.
Good luck!

People have been trying to imagine heaven for centuries. Most of the ideas don't sound all that attractive to me. I have often wondered if heaven and hell are not the same place, and the only difference is how you feel about being there.

He's right on.
Some have retorted that NK isn't a religious state - well, when you have a Dear Leader that's worshipped night and day, what do you call it if not a religion?

I guess if that is his thought, then he is free to have it... tho how anyone could believe that God would be anything like N.K. leadership... It is the biggest stretch i have ever heard

Nope. Heaven, under God, will be absolute perfection: no death, sickness, disease, rape, murder, abuse, theft, lying, or cheating: and we Christians will LOVE it! Why? Because we will have a renewed heart making us like God, therefore will desire the same things as He does, because they are right.
May God bless you if you seek Him.
