I don't see why not. These animals evolved in the wild and eat/drink all kinds of nasty things.

You can, but if it tastes & smells bad to you they probably find it less than ideal, not to mention the chemicals that most tap water contains. Sure, wild creatures often need to eat or drink things that taste terrible, but our companions should have the benefit of being spolied a little. We give all our animals, including the rats & mice bottled water because *we* don't like our local tapped water so it doesn't seem right to give it to anyone in our care. Carbonated water (or soda) is *not* a good idea, however.

Yes, you should be fine giving them tap water unless there is some sort of chemical in your water or it is not filtered for some reason (this just depends on if you have city water/well water).
Sometimes well water will contain minerals or can be "hard" water and will need to be filtered. Well filters can run on salt and when the salt level gets low sometimes the water isn't filtered as well as it could be. If you have either clean well water or city water you should be absolutely fine.

Of course you can. People give dogs and cats tap water so why not rodents. All animals will drink tap water, rain water, lake water, etc.

The thought of giving mice and rodents Perrier or Evian is oddly disturbing to me.

as long as you let it sit for at least 24 hours before you put it in the bottle. the chlorine is bad for them because they are so tiny and there is so much of it in tap water it can cause problems. you can also use a brita filter before you give it to them if you choose.

Yes you can but i give my hamster filtered water because my water is dirty! So if the water looks dirty use filtered water onterwise it is ok to use tap water! Just as long as the water isn't to cold and isn't to warm should be ok!

I don't advise it since tap water contain an assortment of chemicals not suitable for drinking. It's fine if you boil it first though.
