Do you get the TV channel TLC They have had on a bridal edition of what not to wear. They talk about what style dress works best of what body type. Also style for the style of wedding you are having depending on venue. You should check this out. Also bridal shops are fun. Go with an open mind but some idea what you like. Try everything one, they may look bad on the rack but really nice on your body. Enjoys this time.

The dress is the biggest thing in your life or the wedding is? I got news for you - after your "perfect day" the dress goes in a crowded closet, the guests go home and then it's time for the real hard stuff - the marriage part.

it really depends on your budget. i really like this guy i saw on oprah, issac mitzerahi. i am positive that has to be the wrong way to spell his name but i have seen commercials where he has designed wedding dresses for target based on those gorgeous $5,000. dresses. the only other place i can think of is david's bridal i think they are everywhere. you should read the horror stories of ordering a wedding dress off the web. you need to go to a place and get fitted and physically see it to know that when your big day comes you got what you wanted. congratulations on your marriage...best wishes.

If you're on a budget, definitely check out Target's website. They have just launched a line of wedding gowns that are quite affordable, and unlike David's Bridal, you don't have to wait for a sale. I went to Davids and hated it. Could have been because I went during prom time and waited for 20 minutes for anyone to acknowledge my existence. Plus, Davids prices are really high for someone pinching pennies.

I tried dresses on at David's Bridal and then my mother spent days (and nights) searching the web for the same dress. She actually found it for half the price! at www.bridalco.com
Its a good idea to go to a shop and try them on so you know which size you will need, and which types of gowns will flatter your figure.

Know anyone who can sew? One thing you can do is go to a fabric store and find a pattern for a dress you like and have someone you know make it. It is a lot cheaper and more personal than just running out and buying one. If you don't know someone who can do it for you, though, it probably is not worth it. Just thought I'd throw that suggestion out in case you hadn't thought of it. Congratulations!

Stop trying to fool people Katie. Within the past 2 weeks you have wanted to break up with your boyfriend and complained about you mom dressing you in "dorky clothes".

Naturally at your age you would think the dress is the "most important thing" in a brides life.

Are you in the US?

Go to www.google.com.

Type in Alfred Sung, Vera Wang, or just Wedding Dress and lots of websites should come up.
