Other than the possibility that you are pregnant, yes, dramatic weight loss will have an effect on your cycle. You could have PCOS (multiple cysts on the ovaries) and that would affect your cycle.
PCOS is linked with insulin resistance and a impaired ability of the body to digest glucose efficiently. If you have this condition, you will have to watch your diet- as it could also lead (in some cases) to acne problems and in the future to infertility.

It could be a LOT of things. Obviously, if you're sexually active, you could be pregnant. If you haven't had your period for very long (only a year or so), it might just be irregular. If you're on some form of birth control, it could've messed with your cycle. I was on Depo Provera (the shot), and never had a single period the entire time I was on it, or for months afterward, until I started taking a birth control pill to regulate my period again. It could be the result of extreme stress. Or, are you just irregular in general? I got my period when I was 13, and it NEVER regulated like it was supposed to. I didn't have a very regular cycle until I started the pill. If you haven't been under stress, or aren't sexually active, talk to your doctor. It's probably nothing, but it COULD be serious. A million different things can mess up your cycle, though.

Im 19. I had unprotected sex when i was 17, and i fell pregnant. Could there be a possibility that you are pregnant, ie, had unprotected sex? Before i knew i was pregnant i had sore boobs and had a funny taste in my mouth and felt ill. Do you feel like this?? The best thing to do is buy a pregnancy test or go to the clinic.
There are many other factors that could cause yyou not to have a period. Birth control can totally affect your period.
Losing weight can have a dramatic effect on your period.
If your periods are irregular.
Im not a doctor so i dnt know much about it, but i would definately say, go to a clinic and tell them you have missed a period. They can offer urine and blood tests to see whats really wrong.
Hope this helps x

If you're sexually active, of course pregnancy is an option. If, like many teenage girls, you are obsessed with your weight and don't eat enough, that could be a problem. If you do a lot of exercise, like participating in cross country, that can do it (sounds like you've only really missed one and are late on the second). Big changes in diet and stress can do it. Regardless, I would see a doctor. Those things usually lessen your period or make them a little irregular, but having missed one and almost missed to makes you wonder. Go see a doctor.

Are you sexually active or have you lost a lot of weight? Also, are you on birth control pills and if so how long have you been on them?

If you are sexually active you need to take a pregnancy test. If you have lost a lot of weight your period may stop for a while and if you have been taking some types of birth control pills too long they make your period stop until you switch or get off of them for a while. You probably need to go to an OB/GYN. GOOD LUCK.

If you are sexually active then you need to take a pregnancy test. If its positive or negative you still need to go to the Dr. I had irregular periods at that age. I started taking birth control and that fixed the problem. I know you’re probably scared but just relax and talk to your parents. Tell them about your problem and I’m sure they will help you.

If you have unprotected sex the likelihood of being pregnant is high. 2 month's and no period is a good indicator.

No one "falls" pregnant, you get pregnant through your actions. get a EPT and check. either you are or you are not..

If you are you have things to do.
1. Tell your parents
2. tell your "sex partner" and his parents.
3. Make the decision to give the child up for adoption or not.

If you are not.
1. Get the Norplant if you intend to be sexually active at your age.

If you are sexually active, you could be pregnant. If you are not sexually active, could be a couple things. If you're underweight, your cycle could stop, or if you're really active in sports or the like. If you don't fit into any of these categories, please talk to your doctor as soon as possible.

If your having sex you know there is a posibility you are pregnant so, don't pretend you don't know. If you are not sexually active, then it could be irregular hormones, either way you should talk to a doctor.
