As far as our current knowledge goes a virgin birth, in a human, is against logic. But then there is the supernatural which is "above the natural" and defies logical explanation.

Not necessarily. There are animals that are able to impregnate themselves. Humans can't, of course, which is what makes Jesus' birth special. But there's nothing "contradictory" about the phrase "virgin birth".

Yes.

A paradox is a seemingly contradictory statement that nonetheless is true.

Some of the most interesting Christian paradoxes are:
+ One must lose his life to save it
+ One must die to live

+ Laboring to rest
+ Walking by faith, not by sight
+ Giving to receive
+ Being enslaved to be free
+ Finding fool’s wisdom
+ Yielding to conquer
+ Serving to reign
+ Dying to live

+ And, of course, a virgin birth.

With love in Christ.

no, my cousin by marriage was a virgin until she delivered her son, she was, however impregnated by her boyfriend. they were fooling around and he just kind of "oopsed" at the opening and the doc explained that the hymen was a "two way street" if the blood can get out, the seed can get in.
so no it is not a contradiction.
