That completely depends on your school. Some schools are very strict about entrance requirements for homeschool students, others are not.
You would have to check out entrance requirements for your district, and you could find that info on your state Education Agency website. Some states leave it up to each individual district as to how they will handle homeschool students, so you may have to check out the district level as well.
Most of those websites have search abilities, so you would enter "admissions for homeschool students" or even "admissions" and you will be able to find your info.
Some states are very lenient, while some states will require a certain type of transcript from only certain accredited programs.
some will let you in only after passing entrance exams.
Best to check to see exactly what your district requires of you.

What do you mean when you say, "Ive been finding it hard to be recognized the same as others?" Please clarify this statement.
Also, if you are being homeschooled now, just take the time to finish your senior year's work. You are only 17, and this should not be a problem.
Each school district has their own rules about who will be admitted and to which grade level, especially after being homeschooled for many years. They may decide to test you. If you are not able to test at their level as an entering senior, you may not necessarily be admitted as a senior.
Please give the above mentioned lots of thought, and talk it over with your parents.
I hope this is helpful.

"Ive been finding it hard to be recognized the same as others who go to a regular high school."
I'm not sure what this means. Why not start off at a community college and go from there?
It honestly doesn't sound to me like you are a homeschooler.

Study for your SATs. Are you really a homeschooler or did you just not finish school and so are now calling yourself a homeschooler. If you are, and have been in the past, a homeschooler, you should have transcripts from your parents and such. Most colleges accept that, and if you aren't going to college all you need is a GED anyway.

Why would you need/want to? Just finish up your homeschool work this semseter and "Graduate" in Dec or take another year and graduate in the Spring. Nothing wrong with that. Check out http://www.homeschooloasis.com for great high school info/forms/ideas and figure out exactly what you are "missing" and go from there.

Start with checking with your school district. These days the "no child left behind" act has given way for "super" seniors....ones who want or need to take it again. Special schools have even developed for this purpose. You can also take through online courses and develop the area where you feel weak.

What makes you think you'll fit in to the high school circulum. You might be over them, under them or studied different things. You could be just as lost.
