Any physical activity will help you get fit and healthy! I think walking is the best overall (and for me, the easiest and hardest to get bored with), but if you get bored, you should definitely mix it up. How about walking three times a week, and another one or two days a week do something fun like tennis, swimming or kickboxing?

Like you, I walk almost daily ( for 25 years) I have to walk, as my legs ache if I don't. Being bored comes along with it. Sometimes, my husband & I will take a 30 minute drive & pick a neighborhood & walk there. We'll walk different neighborhoods in our city too. Going 2 the mountains on trails in the woods is fun. Walking in the parks or on bicycle trails also. I am a walker, U just have 2 "mix it up".

Walking is the simplest, and most times the easiest on your joints. But yes, swimming and tennis are good too. And tennis has a bonus of giving you some agility training.

Go have fun!

anything that would make your heartbeat faster (cardio exercise) for at least 20 minutes straight and that you would also enjoy.

For me, I play basketball a lot...I enjoy it so it is not a drag for me. I suggest find something that you would really enjoy doing.

30 minutes of cardio (treadmill) with a little yoga and strength training. That works for me.
