You didn’t enter a lottery. All you are going to win is an empty bank account and more trouble than you ever dreamed of. If you want to bother, forward the fraudulent email to phishing@cc.yahoo-inc.com, spam@uce.gov, and 419.fcd@usss.treas.gov.

SCARLET COURIER WILL EXPECT A NICE CHECK FOR A "PRIZE" THAT WILL NEVER ARRIVE

Dump it

Are you being funny? Because this is one of the most famous and well-known scams in the world. If you spend any time on Yahoo! Answers you'll easily find a dozen people more or less asking the same thing. There is a sucker born every minute.

Go ahead and contact 'em just for kicks. And as soon as they ask you to send money to cover their "costs", you'll realise it's a scam. It's also illegal in the UK for anyone residing outside the UK to receive monies from the national lottery; it's only open to residents of the UK.

This is a scam. It has been on TV. If you don't buy a lottery ticket you can't win a lottery. Don't open these emails again.

Unless you have bought a ticket in the UK lottery YOU HAVE NOT WON. This is a scam.

And the UK national lottery cannot contact you - because you buy your ticket totally anonymously!!!

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Watch out that they will ask for money up front for processing fees or whatever they call it. They will say that they cannot take it out of your winnings and they need the money up front.

IT IS PROBABLY A SCAM!

It is a scam. If you respond they will confirm that you have won BUT you will have to pay them a few hundred or thousands of dollars so that they can ''deliver'' the winnings to you (of course you will never see these winnings).

Surely you know that this is a scam. It has been going on for years now. Forget it.
