I am a radiographer (Radiologic Technologist) working in the UK. What do I need to do to work in Canada?

I would like to come out to Vancouver for a year. During time spent over in Canada, I would like to gain experience working in a Canadian X-Ray department. I have no idea where to start or whether the degree I have in Radiography has any standing in Canada.
