a little mild walking or maybe some swimming is ok but hold off on any muscle toning exercises until the 6 week mark (standard time the dr will give you).

your body really needs that time to heal and get back to normal.

congrats on the little one!!!

I waited about a month before I started working out. I couldn't stand not doing something to burn off the weight I had gained, but I only did lighter exercises beforehand so I'm sure you would be fine to start slow and work your way back to normal.

I know how ya feel. You could walk. Hold off on the ab workouts until you get the ok from your dr. When your baby is 6 weeks old you should get the ok to pretty much do whatever you want. Congratulations on the baby!

I can really appreciate a woman who wants to work out right after a baby.

Just take your time and do what the dr. says. You don't want anything to get hurt.

I'm sure some walking would be fine to start off, but 3 weeks is a while. Be sure not to just jump right into the heavy work-outs.

Then go ahead. You can do anything during and after pregnancy that you did before. You were pregnant, not sick.

Congrats!
