Ohh, I luv this question
I experienced the same thing with my wife a couple of days ago.you and your husband will love this and with studies there is a 76% chance you guy will have a better realtionship!
How's that sound?
So what you want to have is a ptcher of iced tea that is sweetened and falvored in PEACH. You want to serve a meal that will be hearty and nicce and big and healthy.
Great meal would be cold pasta with chicken and pork and some vegtables. It;s cool because if you freeze pasta, the pasta won't accutally freeze it will get cold because of the gycloromic concentration.
you can also server various types of salads including: cesear, vegtable, italian, ronchiiou (japenese herbal) salad.
Make sure you have a lot of ice!! Hehe
Hope this works out for you and your husband!
you guy will love it!
Bon Appetite!

Try making things that are simple--my husband too has ALWAYS worked in the heat--he did construction in PHOENIX, and then he now works in a plant that fires parts for vehicles and the military (furnaces that are 1650 degrees!). I find that the similar the meal the more he will eat.
Taco Salads (gives the "meat" for a man, and a cool salad for "not hot" meal)
Then try and cook a ham--after it has been cooked, you can serve ham, potato salad, and rolls---again not hot--and a filing meal.
Good Luck I know how hard this one is!!

How about grilling some steaks to a medium rare doneness, slicing it thin and making a steak dinner salad. Grilled chicken would also be fine.
Gazpacho is a cold soup based on tomatos, cucmbers and other summer veggies. Its crisp and light and not a steaming hot soup.
There are also "soups" made from strawberries and pears which would make a nice, cooling dessert.
Avoid heavy items-meatloaf, mashed potatos, that sort of thing. Focus on grilled chicken, grilled salmon, salads and other cool, light entrees.

This won't be your main course but a side dish... but this is awesome when it's hot (or anytime for that matter)... I think when you combine all this stuff it becomes a drug it is so addicting..
Blue cheese pasta salad:
12 oz macaroni cook, drain
2-3 cups seedless grapes halve
4 oz black olives halve
3/4 cup green onions chop
4 oz blue cheese crumble
salt and pepper
1/2 clove garlic crush
4 tablespoons lemon juice
1 1/2 cups mayonnaise mix lemon juice and mayo until smooth
Then combine all other ingredients and refrigerate several hours or overnight...

BLT
For each Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato Sandwich:
Cook up enough bacon you would think he would like, I would use about 4 strips per sandwich.
Slice up tomato in thin slices and use several for each sandwich.
Lettuce.
Then sandwich these between two pieces of toast or a hamburger bun that has been spread with mayonnaise.
You could put slice up onion on it too if he likes that.
And I suppose you would have to make a couple of them if he is really hungry.
So there you go, meat, bread, and vegetable all in one hand.

i have an easy, awesome, good meal for a hot day. i live in south florida, so i know how the heat is. its a chicken, blakc bean, corn, salsa meal.
grill up chicken and cut up in chunks.
in same skillet, dump a drained can of corn, drained can of black beans, a jar of salsa, and mix up, and heat for about 10 mins on medium.
then you can either serve warm over some white rice, or you can break up some tortilla shells and eat it that way.
my boyfriend loves this meal. we usually eat it at room temp with rice. fridge the leftovers, then eat it for lunch the next day cold with some tortilla chips.
hope it works for u!

Grilled chicken ceasar salad. (Cook the chicken ahead of time, cut it up and put it in the fridge. Add it to the salad cold.)
Sub sandwiches.
Chef Salad.
Instead of heavy side dishes like mashed potatoes, etc, try fresh fruit and veggies or even canned fruit, like peaches or fruit salad. Or perhaps a cold pasta salad.

why dont you just make a regular dinner and let it cool all the way down almost to room temperature and then have some ice cream and keep the air conditionin on high cold or turn the fan on high so it will stay cool
