Some religions have more than one god and even accept the existence of other religions' gods. How does this apply to them?

If everyone believed there was one God - full stop, never mind the details, there would be no need for religion. The trouble is that man always has to make things difficult and argue about everything, so it's man's disagreements that have divided us into our own little 'boxes', (think about all the sub-divisions within each of the religions), which is not what God intended when he sent his prophets. I must add that I'm only considering Islam, Christianity and Judaism in this context.

You can chalk that one up to the devil. As a master of persuasion, Satan easily deceives mankind into focusing on anything but God. Through the theory of evolution, for example, he has convinced millions that God doesn't exist.

Through hundreds of corrupt religions he has convinced billions of people to worship the sun, moon and stars, animals, nature, deceased ancestors, imaginary gods and goddesses and a bewildering variety of other things—or nothing at all. Even among the many varieties of traditional Christianity we find people divided and bickering over who and what God is, His purpose for us, what He wants us to do and how we should live. The devil has done an effective job of confusing people as to what the Bible really says.

Satan doesn't care which of these groups people fall into. Whether they believe in no God at all, accept and worship a false god or are deceived into a false view of the true God and His plan for us, Satan still has them where he wants them—"alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart" (Ephesians 4:18).

Perhaps this helps us better understand what God means when He tells us that the devil "deceives the whole world" (Revelation 12:9). Paul explains that "the god of this age" has blinded those "who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them" (2 Corinthians 4:4).

In one of His parables Jesus explains that, as soon as some people hear God's truth, "the devil comes and takes away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved" (Luke 8:12). Satan will stop at nothing to keep people blinded to the fullness of God's truth. The result, as Jesus explained, is that "the gate is wide and the road is easy that leads to destruction, and there are many who take it," and "the gate is narrow and the road is hard that leads to life, and there are few who find it" (Matthew 7:13-14, NRSV).

God is one.

When a human being gets Enlightenment. And thereafter if He starts helping other beings to move on this path.

Almost all of his followers either donot move on that path or donot get the enlightenment.

These blind people create a religion, after that enlightened soul leave body. In most cases these blind people brand that enlightened soul as God and lead other blinds.

The messagers have brought messages for the cultures and times, so there has been some variation. Jesus made changes to Mosianic law. Buddha broughts changes to Hindu thought.

The problem is people become very attached to their message and messenger. And so they try to win more converts for their message and messenger. They really don't see that there is but one Creator and all the messengers are from the one God.

In order to allow religious tollerance, which provides freedom of religion, God is free to put his Church on Earth. Otherwise, his Church could not grow, if there was no freedom of religion. It also allows men to question religion, thus providing a way to search for the true religion. So, the way I see it, is that it's just another way, that shows, how Gods ways are not are ways, and his ways are always greater than our ways.

Religions are the result of human beings trying to define God. All definitions or descriptions are limiting. We can only define or interpret any phenomonem using things we already know. Different cultures have developed different definitions over the ages. I believe God is much more than we can possibly know so I do not attempt to describe him/Her/It) I respect all religions but do not believe any religion has all the answers.

Tell the same story to ten different people, and they will all remember different things about it. Different parts of the story will seem important to different people.

Now imagine telling the same story to a 5 billion people.

Everyone thinks that their understanding of the story is correct, and people who have similar interpretations will gather together. Since people are also violent and stupid, so naturally they fear and hate those who disagree.

Because only the islamic, jewish and christian god are one and the same. Polytheistic religions are based on one another, but none like any of the three major religions.

It begs the quesiton doesnt it

How can ALL the holy books be correct that their god/gods is/are the only all-powerful deities?

How can you differentiate one from fact and another from fiction, as they both have the same level of fact to back them up? (that fact being that it is written within the same holy book - not realy reliable evidence is it? it would be like letting a murderer off the hook because THEY claim they are telling the truth)
