Psychics couldn't find their, um, faces with their right hand. They're generally either deliberate scam artists or people so out-of-touch with reality that they convince themselves that they have powers that they can't ever demonstrate.
Just watch - someone who believes that she has psychic powers will reply here and claim to have such powers, but expect you to just take her word for it. They don't seem to think that their inability to demonstrate any special abilities has any bearing on whether or not they should believe that they have special abilities.

Some psychics just use smoke and mirrors and guess pretty well.
Some psychics can hear from a realm not physical. The problem is they are listening to spiritual forces who hate God. These beings want to destroy whatever God loves, including you. They will help people help you sometimes, if they think they can separate and keep you from God by doing so. But otherwise, they don't want to help.
It is very dangerous going to the second type of psychic, because when you ask these negative spirits their opinion on something, you can give them more authority in your life. I repeat: these forces want to hurt you because God loves you.
God made the way clear for you to talk directly with Him. He delights to show off what He has done and is doing to those who seek Him. And from what I have seen in my life, and from what I have read in the Bible, the wonders He reveals, while not what we would choose to say, are extremely practical for the good of us and those around us.

I pretty sure somewhere you could find evidence that they have helped to find people
Plus I imagine that people could move after the psychic has pinpointed them, meaning that to track them down the psychic would have to be in a permanent state of ESP, which I imagine would be very tiring...
Furthermore, it depends what you mean by pyschic. If you are thinking tarot cards and reading palms then yes, I dont personally think they can find people. However, I do believe that some people possess extra 'intuition' (for want of a better word) that could be construed as psychic ability.
Science already knows that communication is not limited to the 5 senses on a literal level either (think body language - you dont register it as such, but your mind logs it subconsciously), so I don't find it too far fetched for some people to have other communication methods

i guess i should be asking-on the behalf of my mate whose mother went to see the same psychic every year then stopped going- every few weeks the psycic writes to her asking if she requires her services again soon- ermmm the reason she hasnt been for 2 years is she sadly died 2 years ago- this lady (my friends mother) thought the world of these people-her son collects all the letters sent from this psychic and years after is starting to see the funny side of it- any psychics want to prove me wrong just email me and im more than willing for you answer a question for me

Psychics are really good at finding only one thing. The money of those foolish enough to think that they can see the future.

Psychics are either a fraud or they are listening to evil and demonic spirits. The dead are dead. They don't come back and talk to us.

Most of psychics r fraud.
However whenever such a fraud exist, its imitation of a truth which is existing or has existed in some period of time.

Come on, don't you watch the TV show Medium? I mean isn't everything we see on TV real or fact based?
It would seem to me that if they are as legitimate as they claim there are all kinds of things they could "see" that would provide a great service other than just lining their pockets with the dollars of the gullible or innocently searching.

many have helped do just that.
being psychic isn't like turning on a tv and searching through the channels until you find what you're looking for. it's more like waiting for someone else to turn it to the right channel, and they can't hear which one you're asking for
edit: i will agree that there are many fakes out there but that doesn't make them all fakes. that's like saying all christians are fundies, it's just not true
