why are we discouraged to question the most important things in life? is blind faith dangerous?

Yes blind faith is dangerous

examples; Heavens gate, Waco Texas, Extremist Islam, Fundamentalist Christians, Atheists (ones that make assumptions without research) and so on.

Jesus tells us to question everything so blind faith really came from man.

"Let not the blind lead the blind, for both cannot see, and will stumble." -Jesus

Mmm. You need to do the research. Christ said if the blind lead the blind, they'll both fall into a ditch. Paul told believers to examine everything. The blind ones are those who insist they "see".

Yes it's dangerous... When you have billions of people that are delusional and believe in an imaginary being it hurts everyone. It has led to wars, oppressive laws, murders, and slows the progression of mankind.

I spent nearly 30 years as an agnostic questioning and doubting. I believe that my faith is far stronger now than it would have been if I had never questioned.

When we seek, we question.
