I know the damage it caused me. It took me years to undo the twisted ways of thinking. Only through deep comprehensive thought have I been able to rid myself of all the falsehoods and myths. It is inconcievable to me the real extent of the damage these people do to our children, culture, society, nation, and planet.

myth? check your own belief then think again.

The goal of the evolutionists is to establish man's arrival independent of God's intervention. Therefore, the evolutionist needs to be able to show that life crawled forth from chemicals without the Creator. Otherwise, God could have inserted himself elsewhere in the evolutionary process and the entire argument for evolution is lost. The problem for the evolutionist is that science keeps advancing and discovering more about the complexity of life. Scientists such as Charles Thaxton have explained the utter impossibility of life springing spontaneously from chemicals. Progressive science has shown evolution to be just the latest fairy tale.

Science is not the foundation holding up evolution; politics is. Iowa State University just denied tenure to Guillermo Gonzalez in spite of 68 publications. The problem is, he co-authored a book on intelligent design. It appears our universities are no longer places for the open exchange of ideas.

No they don't realize because they have FAITH not belief.

Belief is based on a rational view of the world. i.e. step in front of a fast moving lorry and you will likely die. . we can all work it out.

Faith is different, it is anti-reason and, therefore, cannot be reasoned with.

Faith is helping Americans build a museum based on 'Creationism' with dummy children playing in front of dummy dinosaurs.

So some, like you escape, look back and see the damage. Others, driven by Faith, don't.

There is a movement (Roman Catholic) in the USA which presents highly dramatical portraits of Hell to young teenagers, preferred age 12-14. These are highly emotive and often leave the youngsters psychologically scarred.

The priest in charge claimed this psychological damage was worth it to prevent these young people from 'sinning' in the future.*

How can you deal with people like this?

Just keep pegging away, challenging them whenever they put their head above the parapet.

Good luck.

Even church homes interior the comparable faith, which comprise a Baptist congregation that supported the KKK and those produced from usually African American. the two could say the different grow to be fake. yet, JWs do no longer basically say they're fake, they recent data to the reality, and not basically one or 2 obscure products. human beings want to speak approximately how a lot they have replaced interior the final a hundred years, yet evaluate how a lot the church homes of Christendom has replaced. how lots of them disregarded the slaughter of Jews in Germany? what share now advise the splendid of ladies human beings to have abortions. what share have accomplished no longer something with regard to the immorality of their management, like Jesse Jackson who had a illegitimate new child on an identical time as being married? look how the church homes proceed to teach misguided awareness approximately such issues as Christmas. you will possibly no longer settle for the thought that celebrating Christmas is incorrect, yet why do they proceed to distort the Christmas tale, itself? the three kings have been astrologers. They arrived almost 2 years with regard to the delivery of Christ. And, the celebrity first led them to King Herod, who want to kill the Christ new child. Let me start with this. I am a sinner. You are a sinner. But when you ask for forgiveness, and stop sinning, you are forgiven by God.

You have to admit, the guidance offered in the 10 Commandments and all have greatly helped our society to be less dangerous.

God is to be feared, without a doubt. He wants us to be meek, not proud.

As far as psyche goes, we are teeny tiny pis*-ants. God loves us, but he wants us to be obedient to him, not our psyches or ids or egos.

He doesn't want us to feel high and mighty or proud. When we do, he will find a way to bring us back down. It might be through "natural" disasters, or coincidentals, but if you look back on your life, when bad things happened, honestly, weren't they honestly addressing something you might have done, thought, or said, that was prideful or self-gratifying in some way?

Some people call it "karma" some people call it "fate." I call it a blessing from powerful God who prods our hearts to do the right thing, not just self-serving things.

It isn't right to go through life just trying to find things that make your psyche feel good. It just isn't.

Yes, I too had to deprogram myself from religious bs. It takes years to really be independent of its grasp on your thinking and actions. That's why I denounce its good at every turn. There's nothing good about brainwashing a child into living a delusional life. They always say "it's not brainwashing or a cult". I beg to differ. They wouldn't start so young if it wasn't brainwashing and people wouldn't be beat out of so much money going to churches. It's a horrible scam that needs to be stopped in its tracks.

Not every theology is a good theology. Some people get alot wrong, and of course it will twist a person.
Christianity, when properly understood, is not damaging to a person (or anyone) in any way.

And now, Can you answer honestly to yourself that you found peace?
The damage you feel is because you opposed to the obvious truth. It is hard to try live in the lie once you find the truth. You wanted to lie yourself because your conscious won't gave you peace other way. You wanted to live in sin so bad that you found to worth lie to yourself.
It's easy for atheists to live here and there. But look at world where atheism were a religion imposed by state propaganda, look at the communist countries in eastern Europe. They are out of communism now but the scars remain until now.
Have you ever been to a communist country? That's where you get if the world will become atheist: a communist world.

It won't be easy, but it must happen. The fate of the human race will depend on whether or not it will be able to focus all mental energy on only that which can be perceived.

Sometimes teaching by fallible human interpretation has harmed children. But that is because of misguided interpretations. When we truly follow the word of Christ Children are empowered beyond belief. They are given every true gift needed for a meaningful life.

If you received bad teaching, this is the fault of your teachers and they will have to answer to God for misleading you.

Mtathew 18:6 But if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a large millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.
