My brother is 16 and im 14 and he still hits me.. like smacks, pulls my hair, calls me names, comes in my room, teases me, spits on me, punches, takes my things, annoys me and more. Some times he does it for fun and other times when his mad and it really hurts when he smacks me. I dont think its normal for a brother to hit his sister? I cant stand up to him because he will hit me. Is this normal, i dont know because i lived like this for ages. He also annoys my parents like heaps and yeahh.. He is not on my case 24/7 but some days its worse then others and other days he does nothing. My mum says he will grow out of it but i dont think he will... can anybody help any sugestionss? plz help...

Your mother needs to displine him more severly she is raising an abuser wheather she understands that or not is another matter . Do you have a father in the house ? then if so he should be taking matters into his hands and laying down the law on this boy . He will grow up to think that it is okay to hit women if your parents dont do something and soon . If you talk to your parents and he still does not stop then you need to talk to a school counselor cause he needs help. good luck dear.

brothers and sisters do fight a lot, but shame on-your mom for not putting an end to it, so now your brother thinks its OK to go around hitting people/girls?and calling them names, your mother has just raised a bully, i hope shes proud?no-one should have to live with being hit all there lives, or being picked on, start taking action, talk to school counselor if mom wont help, maybe a aunt or grandparent, but let it be known, you will no-longer tolerate being degraded!!!!!!!!!!!plus you shouldn't have to be treated that way especially by a family member, where's the love and kindness?as for growing out of it, pro bally never, he'll continue to get worse, one day be in prison for domestic abuse.

In the states he could go to jail for hitting you.
In my house doing that once would get my son a spanking. But it never happened, because from the time he was small I told him it was a terrible thing to hit girls and smaller children and that it was his duty to protect his little brother and sister.

I might think this is a bad situation for you and him. It is very likely he will grow up to be abusive of his spouse. He probably needs to get counciling. Violence is not a way to solve problems between people. Your mum is making a mistake by thinking this is a problem he will grow out of.

Tell him and your folks that the next time he touches you, you are calling the cops. Then do it if you have to. You have a right to not be abused and your folks have no business letting it happen. Sounds like they are afraid of him, and he knows it.

If your parents won't do anything about it, (and it seems that they won't). Call the police because assault is a crime.
Period.
Then if that doesn't work. hit him upside the head with a pipe and claim self defense.
