Everyone it seems, wants to know why God allows the world to be in such bad shape, with pain and suffering.
Many of the previous answers give a good explanation. God gave us free will, He does not want a bunch of robots worshipping Him. Because of free will, many wrong decisions have been made since the beginning of humanity. Some people do not turn to God for help, He wants us to. Some people do not thank Him for blessings; we should. This is certainly not the world that God wants for us, but because
we've all sinned, and have not turned completely to God, and because this first, earthly life is really a test, of trials, and tribulations, etc. we are going to be challenged. The most important thing to do is to pray for others and everything that's going on in the world. Pray for faith that will help us get thru it, and be thankful for each day that God gives us.

God gave mankind a perfect start in the garden of Eden. It was Adams sin that brought upon us sin and death(Romans 5:12) and all the suffering we experience as a result. This world is not ruled by God but by Satan(1John 5:19)God has lovingly made provisions for us to get forgiveness of our sins, and also to have everlasting life on a paradise earth. (Psalms 37:10,11; John 3:16: John 17:3; and Revelation 21:3,4)

Pain in this world helps to teach us and make us grow. Also alot of the pain in this world comes because of our own disobediance to God. God has given us free choice and therefore let's the pain happen so that we are aware of the consequences of our choices. For example there are many poor and hungry people in this world. God has told us we are responsible for those who are less fortunate than we are. Do you see the rich feeding those without or do you see them hoarding what they have?? Most in this world don't care about others and only apply themselves to accruing more wealth they don't need. They are disobeying God and this is the reason for a part of the pain. Their choices will leave them alone and unloved. As humans we must do more to alleviate the suffering in this world because we have been given the choice.

The pain we brought upon ourselves. It is called sin. We are dying, the world is dying. The results of Adam and Eve's sin in The Garden of Eden.
We chose absence from God.
An aside from sin, how much of this have we brought upon ourselves?
People protest and rant "STOP AIDS NOW!" They completely miss the point, they want new drugs so they can continue a self-destructive lifestyle. The same is true with the other rampant STDs, and Hepatitis. Alcoholism, spouse abuse, Greed, envy, pride.
So tell me, God made the pain?
Stop blaming outside sources for your own sins.

The pain in this world came at the hands of disobedience and sin, not by God. Had Adam and Eve not sinned, we'd all still be living in an idyllic paradise with no pain, suffering or any such thing.

God is very nice to us, He is testing us how much we can take the pain. Do you how much Christ suffered for us. U know suffering or pain brings graces. The more u suffer the more u will be blessed. So dont cry but take the pain as joy n there will be no pain.

Because life in this world is not the end (destination), it is only the means. Life in this world has many ups and downs as a test for human spirits.
We will get our rewards (life with full of beauty without any single suffering) but the rewards we will only get in the Hereinafter.
It is a mistake to believe that life is only limited to this world. There are other dimension or world apart from this present world. Don't stop here, let's continue our journey.

Why blame the God for all the ills and pains that we have created in the world . Why blame he parents forr the children who set the house on fire ?The parents never told them to do that .Are we doing only what is taught to us by god .?if god were to be doing everything for us , why should we exsit at all?
Whre is the proof that gods caused all eh pains in the woprld .?It is we in the name of god commit all atrocities .And we shall suffer the effect of our karma .

Without pain and struggle there is no growth.As humans we like to take the easy way out. Think about medical science.Through trial,error and pain advancements could be made.

God didn't make the pain, people made the pain. If people followed the Will of God, we could eliminate suffering by about 80%.
