get it if you want it, but there's no reason to do it right away. Your arm is not going anywhere, why don't you just wait awhile and see if you still love the design. What's the rush?

Do you feel she'll say no since it's so huge? Just wait till you're 18 and will make the resolution with out parental consent. I waited till I used to be 18 and likewise bought a huge piece performed on my part on my ribs. I had deliberate it for awhile and used the time to tweak the layout i desired. I am 20 now and I nonetheless find it irresistible. It used to be valued at the wait. You have got to ensure it manner some thing to you so that you wont ever develop bored of it.

you dont need a tattoo to make you who ou are for one and for 2 try and ask her if you can get a smaller tattoo if she doesnt want you to have a full coverage your 17 yrs old im sure if you really want that tattoo get it when you turn 18 if you still really want it whats more important a good relationship with out lies with someone who has cared for you or a tattoo that can always wait like i said if you still want irt when your 18 im pretty sure you will know if youd want it later in life im sure you wouldnt like it if one of your friends or someone you knew specifically went behind your back and did something you didnt want to but really its your choice

I think it is so sad you want to go against your mom's wishes. You are so lucky to have a mom who cares. Don't you realize that by obeying your parents your life will be so blessed and you will live longer. Trust me on this one. My little cousin who has just turned 17 last week already has two tattoos on on her ankle and one on her wrist. She is so blissfully ignorant and proud of herself. Now its not having tattoos that make her seem ignorant but the fact that she does not give a monkeys what her mother thinks. I just think you should consider it when you have your own house, car and bills. As long as your living with her you need to honor her and abide by her rules.

I think you should get it done when you are 18. This way you can go to your artist and tell them what you seen and why you like it. Then have them make you your own. Don't get it because someone else has it and you like it have it made for you. It will mean more to you and no one else will have it. I did not want my husband to get both of his arms done in sleeve's but he has 7 on his arms all ready. and i told him it did not matter to me if he wants it go for it. So they are doing both arms and meet in the middle of his chest and back. But he did what i told you to went to our artist and they are making his sleeve's just for him. Good luck with everything.

Why not just wait until you're 18 to appease your mother. Because I'm sure she has her reasons. And don't you think that she deserves at least that much (you know, the whole 9 mos. inside her thing.. raising you thing.. loving you thing..)? I mean, she DID wipe your @ss. Consider that macho man.

No don't get it. It looks tacky to have your whole arm tatted. At least wait until you are 21 or so and see how you feel about it. But don't disrespect your mother. You are living in her house and you still need her.

You already have tattoos without mom's approval I would imagine, why are you stalling now? Maybe because you are not totally sure about it? Or you could give your mother one last chance to be mom before you turn 18 and just wait.

if this is something you want then go for it. mom will get used to it and maybe even end up liking it. i know most people are say "your only 17, do what mom says, blah blah blah, but you are pretty much an adult and can make decisions for yourself. if you were committing a crime you would be considered an adult so make the decision for yourself.

You live in her house, you eat her food, and she probably pays for your clothes and other stuff, so, if you won't obey her rules and abide by her decisions, it's time to GET:
Get a Job, Get your OWN place, and GET OUT!
