I'm attending a community college in Jacksonville, FL. I'm considering a rad tech degree (I'm still on prerequisites) and am wondering what the average salary in FL is and if anyone has an idea whether a community college is accredited enough. I will be trying to get accepted into the program that is Mayo clinic affliated. Thanks in advance to anyone who has some answers for me.

You should do more reasearch on your behalf to find out if the community college offers American Registry of Radiologic Technologist's (ARRT) examination. This gives you the license to get the job. YOu get paid $15 an hour starting out, $20 after a couple years experience. Get a BS in radiography and you start to make some decent money.|
This is seriously something that you should really figure out on your own or through the help of someone at your school. I got all this information through my school's website just to answer your question and I'm not even interested in this stuff as I'm going to med. school.

Florida Community College at Jacksonville is okay. The tuition should be cheap. There are a lot of campuses throughout Jacksonville, so you won't have a problem getting there. No dorms of course.
