Is it only men? My cat crawls under the bed covers when any stranger enters the house (he creates a very obvious lump, but who can reason with a cat?) After a few visits, he might allow us to be graced by his presence. Cats, unlike dogs, are not social creatures. They are not pack animals and they tolerate us only because they have found a good meal ticket. Don't get me wrong, I love both my dogs and the cat, aka "the freeloaders" and they each give me affection. The dogs are always affectionate. The cat is affection when it suits him. Anyway, my pet theory (forgive the pun) about cats is that they were once worshipped as gods in Egypt and have never forgotten it.

Okay, most cats don't enjoy company. And sometimes this can depend if the cat is a boy or a girl. People say that "dogs" are a mans best friend. But, if you have a girl cat they don't normally like boys. Maybe from shyness or something, I don't know. Even a boy cat could be that way, but it is normally like some kind of man to man friendship if you have a boy cat. So if your cat isn't friendly, of course the cat might be scared of other people. But, just keep in mind, your cat isn't insane or anything, there is nothing wrong with a shy cat.

As several people have mentioned, a deep voice is a problem with most cats. They will put up with the one who they have adopted most of the time but, normally, strangers are out. Now, as to why they don't appear to have the same problem when outside the house, I have no idea. They either go to everyone or to nobody. I think the reason for that is because they are cats. *g*

some cats are like that. notwithstanding, maximum cats will cover while any stranger (male or lady, buddy or fix individual) comes into your place. perchance the cat only does not understand them properly sufficient, so the habit of hiding someplace is computerized . additionally, cats, while they arrive into your place for the 1st time, usually cover under some thing (sofa or mattress) for some days.

How often do you have women in to test for sexual equality??
I have been told that about cats owned by women and half the time have picked up the cat and had it purring in my lap.
