I've noticed that some arabic words are connected like so ;حملتهمـــــــــــــــــــــــــا في
while others tend to be seperated ; الإحداثيات
Thank you very much for answering my question, this has been on my mind for awhile...

Its just the way the words are formed.Some letters can be connected with other letters eg في .Some cannot.ات

Assuming you mean why are the letters in some words connected and others separated, then it's because each Arabic letter has 4 theoretical forms: initial, medial, final and alone. Some letters, like alef and daleth, do not join on to the following letter, so a break appears.

They call some letters harful jer and they all can connect with the word coming after it.

our language is very def cult it some time connecting and the same word separated it depends on the sentences.
