Tsunamis have absolutely nothing to do with weather phenomena. They are the result of geological disturbances (eg, earthquakes, volcanic explosions, etc)

As 3DM and Mike have said - tsunamis are not caused by global warming. They're often the result of tectonic plate movements.

Tectonic plates form the Earth's crust and move very slowly over the molten material of the Earth's mantle. The movement is a matter of millimetres per year. These plates can move towards each other (converging) or away from each other (diverging).

Diverging plates push agaisnt each other cause folding - the upward movement of the Earth's surface, it's this folding that has led to the building of the Himalayas, Alps and Andes mountain ranges.

Sometimes diverging plates are forced against each other and incredible pressure builds up, eventually one plate is forced upwards or downwards and an enormous amount of energy is released. It was just such an event that caused the Asian tsunami on December 26th 2004. There are other causes of tsunamis including volcanoes and landslides.

Global warming is causing sea levels to rise but this is a very slow rise, currently it's an average of 3mm a year and is expected to rise to 5mm a year by 2050. The rising sea level means that tsunamis will have a more significant impact simply because the sea level will be higher. Given the overall height of a tsunami the difference is comparatively small.

Global warming have nothing to do with tsunamis.

Tsunamis are caused by sudden disturbance or displacement of water. Underwater earthquakes are the major cause.
