Having a company who make commercial products and then make military ones has its problem. I know it was done previously, but I am just pointing out the problem. These companies would then have several master. THey would be privey to Sensitive material, at the same times they are trying to sell cars to countries that we precieve as competitors or worse enemies. THese countries might be able to leverage ford or GM to give up sensitive military informantion for lucrative access to their market or for direct sales. Boeing got in trouble giving military secrets to CHina several years back.
