there are 2 points of view:
1. suicide = murder ("Thou shalt not murder", the 5th commandment, if i'm not mistaking)
2. suicide = dispair, loss of hope (which is a sin against GOD)
as far as forgiving yourself, that may come with time & repentment. admitting your sin to yourself is a step towards healing. maybe you are supposed to go thorough this feeling of guilt in order to fully heal, but it shouldn't lead you to such a rash gesture. hang in there & search for the light, go through your despair & don't run away from it. search for comfort in God & remember that you can't fix one mistake by commiting another (perhaps greater). you have no reason not to forgive yourself, so long as God is forgiving IF YOU REPENT SINCERELY. this may seem silly, but breathe in all the beautiful things that come your way & enjoy the miracle of life, for as long as it lasts. i hope you won't be deceived by my blonde appearance & read what i had to write, because they're not empty words (only i know why, & it's not the case to tell). thanks for ur attention and let GOD heal you! take care of yourself. smile :)

God is very Forgiving and Merciful. The first thing to consider here is that these qualities of His are only applicable when man himself wants to benefit from them. If he commits a sin, he should ask for forgiveness and put all his Faith in Lord, Who does respond. God always answers a man when he turns to Him. Now a question arises here; how can God forgive suicide after a man has committed it and after which he doesn’t even get a chance to ask for forgiveness. Suicide is forbidden in every religion, whether it be Islam, Christianity or Hinduism. God poured life in his creation and only He has the authority to take it back. If a person feels ‘unforgiving of himself’ then why should forgiveness of suicide by Lord matter to him? If that person killed himself because he wanted to remove the feelings of guilt he is wronged. Everyone should try to take interest in life and participate in different activities, related to religion, politics or sociality. Do small kindnesses to people which will give you inner peace and satisfaction and remove the feelings of guilt about bad things you may have done to other people. God will show you many reasons to live and will surely forgive you. Why commit a bigger sin for trying to get rid of the past ones.

That depends on which 'God' you subscribe to.
If you follow the old testament, lay the smackdown on those who dance around a golden calf God, then its highly unlikely you will believe so.
If you believe the new testament, 70x7 times parable, then any sin, no matter how horrendous, can be forgiven (indeed, wants to be forgiven) by God; the question then becomes how does a person gain such.
Since it is more than obvious that people don't commit suicide simply because they have nothing better to do (Look, it's wednesday, think I'll cut my wrists today, just to break up the monotony) the circumstances of why are taken into consideration. Besides, who best to save the souls of those who committed suicide then one who has been there, and been saved? Not every act or action can be understood simply in and of itself.

To answer the last question first, you can help the feelings of guilt and worthlessness dissipate by asking God to help you with them. If you pray - and mean it - God will listen.
As to suicide, if you do it then God will be very unhappy. Will He forgive you? Of course. He knows what you were going through, and He knows that you are at the tend of your tether and can see no other solution. And He's probably yelling at you across the heavens "OI! MUSH! CALL ME!" So call Him.
Remember, suicide is a permanant solution to a temporary problem. On a more material level, if you feel like doing away with yourself, please talk to someone about it. And talk to God too.

That is something only you can achieve by making peace with your past choices, no matter how wrong or bad for you they may have been. Looking at the future is important. Suicide seems like a natural outcome of being mired in your own worthless, painful past. If the thought that God will consider you sinful for committing suicide stops you from taking your own life, it couldn't be all that bad.

I certainly don't want to promote suicide as a way to solve problems so if you're considering it, please don't consider this to be an endorsement. However, in order for a sin to be a sin it must be committed with full knowledge and consent. If a person is in a mental state where they have crushing feelings of depression and guilt then they are not in a state of full knowledge and consent...they are not seeing things clearly and are being controlled by strong emotions. It is for this reason that suicide cannot always be considered sinful and therefore there would be nothing to forgive. God would probably be sad with them that their life was so difficult and would receive them into His loving arms.

The Jewish nation was in covenant with Jehovah God, and their law said: “You must take no ransom for the soul of a murderer who is deserving to die, for without fail he should be put to death.” Nor could a Christian commit murder and live: “Everyone who hates his brother is a manslayer, and you know that no manslayer has everlasting life remaining in him.” Inasmuch as suicide is self-murder, the same view may be taken of it as of murder. So if anyone who has dedicated his life to God sanely takes his life in suicide, or deliberately murders another person, it is doubtful that God would remember such a person in the resurrection.—Num. 35:31; 1 John 3:15, NW.
However, in the case of a person that did not know Jehovah’s law and was not a dedicated servant of God it would be different. If he died a suicide or as a murderer he would certainly die guilty of grievous sin; but there are many other grievous sins, and for them repentance is possible. At one time Paul wrote some Christians that they had once been extremely immoral and depraved, but had been washed clean because of their repentance of and abandonment of such sinning and their acceptance of Jehovah’s arrangement through Christ. Elsewhere the Bible speaks of murderers failing to repent, which implies repentance was possible for them under certain conditions. (1 Cor. 6:9-11; Rev. 9:21, NW) The sins of suicide and murder need not be sins against the holy spirit, and, if not, would be forgivable. Sin is sin, regardless of what kind, and a resurrection for a suicide or a murderer not in the truth would depend more on how deeply he was steeped in paganism or demonism, on his ability to repent and be recovered from the depths of heathenism, than on the specific sin or sins committed previously. It is Jehovah God and Christ Jesus who will judge this capacity to repent and this ability to recover and who will decide whether to resurrect certain individuals or not. We are content to let the matter rest in their capable, just, merciful hands.

The scriptures of India say that its considered more sinful to kill yourself than to kill another person--its really bad and you will become a ghost for a long time if you do--a ghost is like a mind without a body--so you must never wallow too long in guilt -God is merciful-get up and do good to others for the remainder of your life.-

God generally doesn't approve of suicide but when these rules were written, suicide wasn't an option. If you feel so guilty and worthless, you should see a therapist. Get right with yourself and then think about how you see yourself in context with a God.
