It's not too early to look, but it is a little too early buy anything. Since you have so much time you get to shop a around to find a better price for things you may want. And you might change your mind in the future as to what you want for the wedding. Hold off on buying anything till it gets closer to your special day

As far as the dress goes, the advice is to not buy your dress longer then 6 months in advance, you never know if something is going to go wrong, you lose weight, gain weight, find a dress you like better (wedding dresses are not returnable, so you are stuck with the one you buy unless you wanna invest in another dress. Also newer fashions may come out that you like alot better. But, it is never too early to choose your wedding party, reserve your wedding site, so you know it is available, dj, limo, photographer, caterer, minister or Justice of the Peace. Best of Luck and God Bless!!

How big and gaudy is the engagement ring? You'll need to find a dress that doesn't overshadow the ring and his outfit, whatever the sucker...excuse me, 'Groom' will be wearing. Your choices can run from contemporary to antique, but the whole package should look one piece; that is to say, you have 2 years, but you want to make sure that whatever you buy fits together so that you don't look out of place with your mate, the surroundings and the ring you're wearing. Hell no, it's not too soon...2 years will fly by. Let's hope you'll still want to get married after all this worry and bother...

No, it's not too early... the farther out in advance you look for things, the better deals you can find. Use the internet to your advantage and book at least a year in advance, if not more, because those dates will book up fast and you want everything to be able to fit together... (ceremony and reception in really close time frame), if you book everything early, you guarantee that everything is going to work out the way you want.

its not to early to look through magazines and get ideas. However I would not start looking in dress shops until about 10 months before your wedding. If you pick one way to early you may find a different one down the road later that you like better.

You can book the church, the restaurant or eve the catering but in my opinion you should wait to buy the dress because fashion changes and it is 2 years after. Don't be anxious you have plenty of time to organise the best wedding ceremony !

No, because you want your dress to be perfect. Finding the right dress is like finding your soul mate. It will take a lot of searching. You will also feel a bit of relief when you have that checked on your list. Move on to finding your bride's maids dresses and have them all measured. This way the dresses will be on order and the women can be fitted as the date is closer.

You can start looking now but I wouldn't buy anything yet. Your taste could change a lot within the next year or two! I would wait for another year before you start planning anything. You probably only need a year to plan a great wedding.

I would start looking now just to get ideas, but more new stuff will be coming out before then and also, you might change your mind before then. I'd wait to buy anything until about 6-9 months or maybe a year before the wedding...Good date though! Its my birthday! and also it will be my first anniversary. We are getting married 08/08/08...
Congratulations and good luck!

The earlier you start planning, the easier things will be for you. Some of your venues can book up to a year and a half in advance. Plus, it will give you time to budget wisely and give you more time to shop around for what you want instead of having to settle for what you can get. Congratulations!
