Orange marmalade.
Use skins of oranges and also pips.
In fact, you can use the whole orange if you like, juice and all.
Cut skins in fine strips.
Lay over night in enough water to cover skins.
Also add the pips, which holds a lot of pectin.
Next day, cook the water, skins and pips in a pot, but bring it to the boil slowly letting it just simmer until the skins are soft.
The finer the skins were cut the quicker they will become soft.
Once soft add one part sugar for every part Water/skin combi.
Stir constantly and test for readiness by holding the ladle (spoon) above the pot periodically. The marmalade will run off the ladle but when the last drop hangs from the ladle without dropping, take the pot off the heat immediately.
Remove pips at this stage if you like...
Bottle while hot.
Seal bottles making sure every bottle is filled to the brim. (this will expel as much oxygen as it is able out of the bottle).
Sell the bottles of marmalade for at least one and a half times what the store would charge for canned marmalade.
By the way, if you mix a little lemon rind in with the orange rind, it makes a wonderful product...

Oooh, oranges are good! Here are some other ways to enjoy them:
Smoothies- mix up a nice smoothie for breakfast, snack, or any time for a treat. Yum!
Yogurt- add some into some plain or vanilla yogurt.
Chocolate- Make chocolate dipped oranges.
Cakes- You can use the zest to flavor cake and muffin batter, and use the fruit to top the cakes. Imagine a nice white cake flavored with orange juice and zest, topped with whipped cream and fresh orange slices.
Salads- In addition to fruit salads, there are tons of other salads in which you can use orange fruit, such as chicken orange salad. It's a bed of greens with grilled chicken, oranges, and your choice dressing, and various other toppings.
Marmalade- I don't have directions to do this, but I know you can find some through google.
As for peels, they can be candied, made into potpourri, and dried and carved into little candle holders. Again, directions can be found through google, or craftster.org.
Hope this gave you some ideas.
